We are looking for ELT teacher trainers from all over the world to speak at the Advancing Learning New Voices online event on Wednesday 24th September 2025. Submit your talk by 24th July 2025.

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for teacher trainers from all over the world who have something they want to share with the ELT community on a stage for teachers around the world. 

What will the chosen speakers receive?
We understand the amount of work that needs to go into a training session, which is why we would like to offer the speakers more than just the chance to speak at the New Voices event: 

  • At least one 15-minute spot to speak at the Advancing Learning New Voices event on Wednesday 24th September at 10am, 3pm and 9.30pm UK time
  • Webinar best practice training session prior to New Voices live event, along with additional support where needed 
  • 1 x Full year subscription to OneStopEnglish 

How do you submit?
The submission form is short and simple. You will need to provide the following:

  • Your name, biodata and country you live in 
  • A single 2-minute video sample of your talk  
  • The title and maximum 60-word abstract for your talk

What is the judging criteria?

Here’s a breakdown of the criteria we will use when scoring the submissions:

We’re looking for talks that not only inspire teachers but offer them tried and tested, practical ideas to enhance their students’ learning experience.

Is there one unique thing about the talk you wish to give? Is the format different from other webinars? Are the ideas original in some way? Is there something new about the way you create your ppt slides?

 

Clear, engaging and motivating delivery of a teacher training session is essential, so make sure to make the best of the video sample of your talk when you submit!

This final score gives the judges an opportunity to score submissions based on an overall impression of the proposed talk and speaker.

  • There will be between 5 - 10 speakers at the New Voices event.

  • Thursday 24th July 11:59pm UK time.

  • We will announce the speakers of New Voices by Friday 8th August 2025.

  • Unfortunately, due to the volume of submissions we may receive, we cannot guarantee any feedback to individual submissions to New Voices.

  • Unfortunately, we are not able to move the date of the event, so make sure you’re free that day! 

  • We are only able to accept submissions from those who can speak at minimum 2 of the 3 sessions at 10am, 3pm and 930pm UK time on Wednesday 24th September 2025, so make sure you're free that day!

  • We are open to any talk you have already delivered, as long as you are the owner and original creator of the content.

  • The purpose of New Voices is to discover new talent in the ELT community and showcase them for the first time at a Macmillan Education event. However, if you have any doubts about whether you can participate please email eltwebinars@macmillaneducation.com

  • This is entirely up to you, but please make sure it’s relevant and appropriate to a global ELT audience, and not specific to a particular region or context. For example, a talk offering advice on how to teach students with a specific first language, like French for example, will only be relevant to a certain portion of the audience.

  • Yes! We strongly encourage you to apply again for the opportunity, but it might be wise to adapt or change your previous submission.
