It builds key language skills and fosters personal growth during this difficult transition period, helping learners develop into confident individuals who can make their voices heard.
WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL?
Written for iGeneration students
Written for iGeneration students with topics and problems connected with living in an information society and tasks allowing students to develop cognitive, analytical and problem solving skills, stimulating students’ interest and engagement by offering motivating real-world content and tasks giving them a reason to enjoy learning English through the use of technology and topics
Focus on growing with the students
The course follows students’ cognitive, psychological and physical transition from children to teenagers - written on the basis of the results of an international student survey and consultancies and research of cognitive psychologists. It steadily grows with students providing them with memorable topics/problems selected by the students themselves, which allows them to be engaged at every stage of the course
Developing students as independent language learners
The course encourages students to take ownership of their learning and become independent and curious language learners. It effectively guides the students from in-class practice to real life production thanks to the step by step training crafted by language experts, equipping learners with the self-study skills to reach their goals.
Inclusive Education Programme
Unique programme of inclusive education supporting both students who struggle with common learning difficulties as well as teachers facing the problem of teaching students who arrive with different levels of exposure to English at the start of term or students with special education needs - helps all students to develop and grow.
Develops responsible global citizens
The course helps students develop the skills and attitudes required to take their place as global citizens in the future. Using Macmillan Education’s Education for Sustainable Development and Citizenship framework, which was developed with experts in the field, the course fosters the attitudes and actions needed for students to go on and become the change makers of the future
