Gateway in the Czech Republic

Gateway is a course designed for teenage students to help them succeed in school-leaving/university entrance examinations, and prepare them for university and the world of work. 

In the Czech Republic, Gateway is used by a number of schools as a vital preparation course for their Maturita exam. The course is enjoyed by students partly because it brings in popular life and culture and is very relatable. 

At present, I think that Gateway is the best textbook in our market and a doorway into the world of English and the Maturita exam for my students. It’s a great book full of interesting topics and ideas which inspire creativity in both the students and the teacher. The contemporary language and the focus of the articles exactly correspond with my students‘ age and interests. It’s helpful to have the book supplemented with both the CD-ROM and Maturita exercises with expert analyses and comments. I love using this book but it’s even more important that my students love using it. Gateway to success!

I think that Gateway B1 is very well written, full of diverse, colourful and interesting exercises. It’s a great textbook to use preparing my students for the Maturita exam.

I like using Gateway to prepare my students for their Maturita exam. It suits me as far as its topics go. Grammar is very well explained and supplemented with useful examples and exercises. I like Gateway to exams sections which include all language skills. A great book!
