Learning to fly: Learner autonomy in exam preparation
Let’s face it – most exam courses offered a limited time for face-to-face learning, with the teacher driving the process. Very often, it was not enough to properly prepare for the exam ahead. Unless students were willing to take their learning outside the classroom and devote some of their free time to developing their linguistic skills, nailing the exam often turned out to be quite difficult. In the session, we looked at ways of motivating students to go that extra mile and embrace the responsibility for their own learning.
