In the first half of this session our academic team will discuss the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their place in English classrooms. Following on from our roundtable discussion we’ll explore the what and why of the SDGs and how they relate to language teaching and learning from our own perspectives here in Asia. In the second half we’ll examine example lessons for teenagers and young adults and highlight practical activities for integrating SDGs into our lessons. We’ll focus on how to engage learners at different stages of a lesson, while making sure that we’re not creating extra work for ourselves as teachers.
