Learning Habits and Why They Matter

Teachers who understood working memory became better teachers, and students who understood how they learn performed better. This research-based webinar explored the world of cognitive neuroscience and offered a beginner’s guide for teachers. Ross shared three recommendations that all teachers should use in every lesson. "Learning is a process that leads to change," and teachers needed to assess what was stored in students' long-term memory, providing explicit instruction and rehearsal to maximize memory potential. This training provided teachers with initial theory, practical study tools, and guidance on how to take action.
