Moving online has seen teachers develop new skills and techniques to make lessons interesting for their students. However, encouraging communication can be a real challenge for many of us. Key to this challenge is the topic of student engagement. This session will examine both areas and explore how teachers can promote engagement and communication both in an online and offline environment, through the promotion of techniques such as cooperative learning. This will be a practical session providing teachers with tools and resources to help engage their students throughout classes. This session will utilize examples from Speak Your Mind, the new course from Macmillan Education.
